Neil Pauddar
Cybersecurity Researcher @ National Lab of the Rockies
Securing energy systems · CTF author · Security educator
Hi, my name is Neil - I build and break things. My work and research focuses on ICS/OT security, offensive security and hands-on education, from building simulated power plant environments to teaching students how to attack them.
Before the lab, I served as President of UTD’s Computer Security Group, where I competed on a CTF team ranked 8th among US academic teams, launched an 8-week CTF bootcamp, and helped found the Cyber Defense and Response Unit. I’ve spoken at DC214, Dallas Hacker’s Association and many student events on everything from ICS hacking to threat hunting.
