Website

It took me many, many years with many, many iterations to finally get a website I was happy with publishing. My advice to anyone that doesn’t have a personal webpage is to just get one setup. My recent inspiration to just get a page up is entirely thanks to my summer intern mentor at NREL. He mentioned that interviewers look at personal sites to get a better idea of candidates outside of thier resume - and that was the hook I needed.

Design

I am currently running this site from a Linode VPS. Linode offers a Virtual Private Server (VPS) for $5 a month. This is perfect for running something lightweight without needed to host it on my own infrastructure. As much as I enjoy self-hosting services I do not like the idea of hosting publicly-accessible material on my home infrastructure. This is especially true since I host my own CTF - the WatTheWat CTF - and I do not want competitiors to overload my home network.
